Progress - before and after

We used Benjamin Moore Palladium Blue

Next for this area: updated light fixture and board/batten for walls

Family room inspiration

We spent $7 on this bottle of water last night at dinner and I left with it (after asking). It's too pretty to toss!  I'd love to have a navy and coral family room.

A birthday dinner for 3G and I left with the gift of inspiration!

Vase $3.17 at Target
Sea Glass $4something at Target

How we found it

Our house was built in 2005, so it's pretty much up to date. It's a beautiful home and we don't have to fix it up, but there are a few things we'd really like to change to suit our style. And when I say we and our, I'm really talking about me. Cami. The lady of the house. The man of the house basically is letting me do what I want. He's the bomb biggity. He also gets to do most of the work. I'm the brains. He's the muscle (with lots of brains, too).  As a school teacher, he gets the summer off (lucky!!), so this is when most of the work will get done.

Here are the photos from the real estate listing:

The upcoming posts will show my plans for the house. My wild, hair brained and cockamamie plans. It's gonna be sweet!

We're moving!

We are on the move!  We've reached capacity of our townhouse, so we are literally moving on up to the east side ... 3 miles away.

We have more than enough room here for our family of five. When we were house shopping, my folks were staying with us during the week to watch the children while 3G and I were at work, so we looked for a house with a comfortably sized basement with an "in-law suite". But since then, we all decided that it would be more fun for everyone if they got to be grandparents instead of babysitters. So now we have a couple extra rooms for visitors!
